Mercury Yachts was founded by London-based yacht broker Julian Krickl. Its aim – to provide professional and independent advice to clients on their yacht purchase, yacht sale and charter. We boast expert industry knowledge with discreet, bespoke service.

We pride ourselves on offering our clients the best, impartial advice. In tandem with our core services, Mercury assists our clients with rigorous marine industry advice, and introductions across: Yacht Management, Refit, Yachting Legal Services, Crewing, Insurance, and Yacht Finance.

The Founders

Julian Krickl, Founder

Julian Krickl is the founder of Mercury Yachts, having previously headed up the UK office for a large international yacht brokerage firm. He specialises in new and pre-owned motor yachts, 20m and above.

Previously his passion for adventure and love of yachting took him to Dubai, where he spent three years as Senior Sales Manager for ART Marine, the pre-eminent marine company in the Middle East working with renowned brands, such as Riva, Ferretti, Custom Line, Benetti, Azimut and CRN.

Educated at Harrow School and an Economics & Accounting graduate of the University of Bristol in England, Julian spent over 10 years working in financial services executive search in the City of London.

Julian also acts as COO/Business Development Director for Mercury Communications – a luxury & corporate PR company

Laura Westmacott, Director

Laura Westmacott is a Director at Mercury Yachts, where she supports global business development and partnerships. She is also the Founder and Managing Director of Mercury Communications, the sister company to Mercury Yachts.

She specialises in corporate and luxury public relations for brands targeting and accessing high-net-worth individuals through media relations, strategic partnerships and events. She seamlessly combines family offices and private wealth with luxury lifestyle.

Laura has provided PR support for former Dubai brokerage ART Marine, recently supported the launch of SAY Carbon Yachts in Marbella, and represents marina destinations such as Lustica Bay and Vilamoura, and has previously worked with Porto Montenegro. With clients, she attends events such as Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS), Cannes Yachting Festival, and the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS).
